The Hot Date patch released yesterday, has been removed from the official site because it was causing problems. You can expect a working patch soon at the official site.

2122. Problems with HD patch

There seems to be a problem with the Hot Date patch released this simday. The problem: user created objects for downtown - or objects edited to be available downtown - no longer work. They will still appear, but there are no actions available for them. You can try recategorizing them, but we're not yet sure if that works. Also, the patch only seems to work on the US versions of the game, and not on any other versions. We will keep you updated...

2126. Vacation in DVD-style box

Some might find it usual, others might think it's weird. Vacation, the new expansion pack for The Sims will come in a dvd-style case everywhere. In Europe this was already the case, but now the USA will also be filled with these boxes. From now on, all EA games will come in these boxes that have the same size as a dvd-case. 2130. GamePen Awards: Hot Date doesn't win

Unfortunately, the Hot Date expansion pack didn't win the Gamepen award for best expansion pack of 2001. Winner was Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction (Blizzard), the runner-up was Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal (Interplay). For the other nominees and more information, go to the Gamepen site.
