how come my dragon is born nice, and then turns mean and starts biting my sims? i read somewhere that their personality is based on their color, but I have had yellow, red, and purple, and they all turn mean.

The color of your dragon depends on the number of times your Sim interacts with the egg; fewer than 6 interactions gives you the red (Burnie - NASTY), 6-14 interactions gives you gold (Pyritie - WELL ADJUSTED) and 14+ gives you purple (Torch - LAZY). Once the dragon hatches, if you do not have your Sim give toy/play/pet/give treats on a regular basis, the dragon will eventually become nasty. It will bite, knock your Sim down, set things on fire, etc. If you completely ignore the dragon, it will pack-up and leave on its own (it can take 10 to 15 Sim days for this to happen).

Feed them and also have a cat or dog. Dragons love playing with furry pets.
