How do you get sims to START a band?

Well you just go to the piano, whatever. There will be perform or practice. If you choose perform you can do: Rock, Jazz, Country. Then click on other sims to join, or if your playing them ask to join. You can get big money doing this at dorms, greek houses.. Or at community lots.

One really annoying thing about starting a band is you don't actually START A BAND. You ask people to join and you have some fun but then when you stop, you stop, thats it. Your not actually a band it's more like every man for themselves, it was a major let down because I was looking forward to it!
