SimDay - Is this it?
Now, hopefully there'll actually be some more stuff appearing later today.. but as things stand, a link to an article at FoxNews.com is the only thing that has appeared at the official website today. Hmm. Great. The article itself is quite interesting, I suppose, but it's about online virtual worlds in general and not just The Sims Online. Relevant enough for a SimDay? I think not. Still, why not have a taste of it and see what you think..
'In The Sims, there will be none of the killing and looting requisite to other games. The citizens of Simville spend time working, talking on the phone, having barbecues, grooming their pets, having children and ordering pizza -- just like in the real world. "It looks and smells like a game... but players don't really approach it like a game," said Will Wright, creator of The Sims. "Every player brings their own goals into the game, everybody's always reformulating their goals, just like real life."'
And that's all the Sims stuff in the article. Brilliant. Anyway, it's still worth a read, so hop over here to read more. I'm sure Andy will have something to say about this soon as well, you know.. :)

I get back and I can't even do my weekly SimDay report anymore! :-O Ah well, you're doing a great job at it too. Guess I should stay up even longer to beat you *yawn*

And you're right, SimDay is crappy. Why don't they call it CrappyDay from now on? Good thing that we have a new poll every thursday, so it's a little bit of a good SimDay here then... Oh, and next 'SimDay' Sim Brother 2 will also start! Woo, can't wait!

Hey, I got used to doing them while you were away! I'll stop from now on if you like, though. You do the SimDay news, Andy comments on it, I watch. :) I'm probably going to move into occasional columns / news / preview linking and that kinda stuff for a while, see how that goes. Oh, and I corrected the links.. sorry, I'm not used to this. :)

Now Now Boys!!!!!! Let's stop this fighting. You can share the new reporting like good little boys! (Do I sound like a Mom here?) Anyway, whether reported by Matthew or Cheetah or even commented on by Andy, it does not change the fact that this Sim Day was a REALLY lousy... Comeon guys at Maxis, you can do better than that the sim fans deserve much much better. I for one, (and I know there are more out there) am very very disapppointed.

:)

I didn't plan to make a fight... Just stating that I found out that someone's taking over part of my job, doing great at it and that he should keep that up - in a slightly different way.

Now why hasn't Andy posted a comment yet here?

Because the silly idiot decided to vote in the poll, lost what he was writing and his train of thought.

Now the Boss is back, I'll confine my remarks here. Excellent job, Matthew. Keep it up. Yes, I am becoming exceedingly fed up with Maxis. We and the other fansites are putting in a lot of effort to support the game. Maxis should respect this by putting the same effort into their website and give us something good, instead of expecting us to dig into our wallets every time something new comes out ... which we will.

There. now that's off my chest, I'm feeling better. It's a pity SimDay isn't.

Sorry I sometimes get carried away..whenever I hear the slightest hint of a possible disagreement that might not happen, this BEAST in me surfaces.... (Actually Cheetah, I knew you weren't egging a REAL argument..) Sincerely, Bettyjoe :)

I'm not arguing either, btw. :)

I agree with all of the staff. I think Simday should change to crappyday. I mean, what is so exciting about a report that says the same thing that all of the others do.

Sim Brother has reports, but they are 200% times more amusing than the Simday reports.

The supposedly the "little website" (compared to the "all great and mighty maxis website") like mine, put a lot more of effort into the sites than the official website does. Come on! The Sims Zone puts every inch of effort into their site and so do I! But Maxis don't...

P.S. The Sims Zone is wicked!

Thanks for your appreciation towards TSZ, we appriciate that Jason :-)

And Maxis is playing more nasty games with their customers lately (read the Deluxe post here)
