SimDay Report: Vacation Exchange open
Quite a big SimDay report today. No wonder it was up a bit late at the official site. However, the site's now been updated, with a slightly updated navigation bar, SimCity for PocketPC, a download for Vacation, TSO Newsletter, and the press release of the release of Vacation, of which the exchange is now open...

To start off with the 'new site design': it's no more than an updated navigation bar, apparantly. It now has a separate "About Expansion Packs" section in there. Not very exciting anyway.

Always wanted to play SimCity on your PocketPC? You can now, by buying the PocketPC version of this classic game. Simply go to the EA Store and get it. How come TheSims.ea.com comes with that news over 2 weeks after SimCity.ea.com?

Other news is that there's now a The Sims Online newsletter that you can sign up for. If you sign up, you'll be informed of the game development from Will Wright and other members of the TSO team. Sign up for that here.

Of course, also the release of Vacation has been announced:
"Everyone needs to get away from it all sometimes, and The Sims arent any different, said Tim LeTourneau, Senior Producer at EAs Maxis studio. With The Sims Vacation, the whole Sims household can get some fun and sun on a fabulous island get-away."
With the release immediately comes a new download: Pluto's Arch. Make parties look nicer with this. Download it here, it's 1.26 Mb.

Last but not least: with the release of the new expansion pack, the exchange for Vacation is now open too. Start uploading your vacation areas soon! You can go to the exchange here.
