In a recent press release, EA has announced that they are settling in the class action on overtime. This issue was raised
last year. Several developers of EA, of which at least one worked on the Sims 2, weren't compensated for the overtime they had to work. Several blogs were posted by (former) employees of EA (and Maxis) as well. Now EA has settled to pay $15.6 million to cover all the claims. The remainder will go to the Jackie Robinson Foundation, "a national nonprofit organization that awards college scholarships to minority students, with a preference toward students interested in studying interactive entertainment.
" All the details can be read in the press release
