Nightlife Released In Brazil + Accusations
Posts on Usenet and on the official Sims 2 BBS site are saying that people in Brazil are receiving their copies of Nightlife a week before the US. Its official release date over there in Brazil was September 9th.

This decision isn't very popular with other BBS users who have accused the Brazilian Sims community of pirating the expansion pack, and all because America didn't get the EP first. Most of the flak has now been cleaned up.

I'm a member of this website and I am also an American. Trust me when I say that not all Americans are this immature. Personally, I find the whole argument a bit pointless; so the Brazilians get it first, big deal. I've been pretty disgusted at the level of maturity, or lack of it on the BBS and that's why I joined this website.
What you do is a reflection of what you think!

It doesn't really matter who get's it first... but at least the American's can see how other countrys feel because it's usually them that get most things first... including things invented by other countrys (e.g. films). We'll all get it sooner or later though.

I think Americans are focused more on the clean up and care for the victims of the hurricane as well as the other two major storms headed to our coasts. If in these days there are Americans that have time to focus on who gets Nightlife first, that should give you a big clue about the personalities of those individuals, not the country as a whole.

First of all, The USA, Mexico, Canada and Central and South America is all AMERICA!!!
Second: Is good that Brazil got Nightlife first, because in the US most of the people are arrogant! and they are more fake than a celebrity's nose (just a joke).
In fact, not all US citizens are like that... some even play Sims but they wait, they don't have a freakin addiction to it. (no offense to the fans)
I'm a fan too but I have to wait like everyone those! so USA, wait for your own release date.

I am American and I agree with dancingaphrodit. Yes I have preordered and yes I am waiting breathlessly for the game to arrive, but there are larger things to worry about. I live in Florida and at this time last year I was without power because of two of our four hurricanes, and I was without three weeks. I had to wait a long time to even play Sims 2. If there are people that are upset that those farther south of us here in the united states got the game first, then they have very little minds. I'm glad they are enjoying it and being kind enough to share some details.

I don't know why I had this tought about life. Why is everybody fighting? Who cares who got it first, when people is somewhere dying in streets!!! Some people are extremely poor and can't play with videogames or any other stuff! Mexico doesn't even gets The Sims soon, we have to wait like MONTHS so Spain can send it over here. I really wish EA games could donate some of Nighlife earnings and donate it to the poor contries like Africa or the people of the Katrina hurricane, that was awful! But the US is really slowly helping people. Well, i'm not getting in politics right now! LOL
