New Mail, New Screens
We've received another e-mail from Lucy, as usual every week. It's all about aspirations again. Lucy tells us that her aspiration is for us to buy the game, and tell others about how great it is. Then those others should buy the game and tell their friends about it again, and so on until everybody's playing the game. This doesn't necessarily mean there will be a "World Domination" aspiration track in the game too though... Anyway, here are four screenshots included with the mail. They are of 4 of 5 known aspiration tracks (there should be 10 in total, according to the E3 news), the "Fortune" track isn't included. Enjoy them, and read the "Read more" bit for Lucy's complete email.

Romantic Sims Let's be famous! All-important Family Knowledge for Smart Sims

"Greetings, Sims fans!

"It's no secret around the office that there's almost nothing I want more in life than making sure that The Sims 2 is an absolutely jaw-dropper of a game. I want you to pick up a copy of the game. Or two. I want you to tell all your friends about it. And then I want them to get copies, and tell their friends. I want this cycle to continue until the only people left in the world who haven't played The Sims 2 are tucked away in remote corners of rainforests around the world, sporting machete haircuts and munching on taro roots, cut off from the larger human civilization. That's what I want.

"But that's just me.

"You probably have wishes and dreams and aspirations of your own. You might place a premium on your romantic life, or you might be pursuing your artistic dream. Maybe you're chasing after the all-mighty dollar, or after your toddler or teenage daughter. Whatever the case, it's no stretch to imagine that there are things in life on which you place emphasis, and goals that you set for yourself. In The Sims 2, this is no different. Every Sim has a unique set of wants and aspirations, and it's your job to help them achieve their goals. Or dash their hopes upon the rocks of despair. That's right - in The Sims 2, your Sims not only have wants and desires, but they also have fears as well, and how you manage their behavior and actions determines whether they will achieve their aspirations, or let the fears run their lives instead.

"But alas, it's time for me to end this missive and get back to work, because I'm sure one thing we can all agree on is that we all aspire to see The Sims 2 hit store shelves on time. I'm going to go work on that aspiration. While I'm doing that, you can indulge a few of your wants by perusing these Sims 2 screenshots.

"Until next week,"
Lucy Bradshaw
