I tried installing the Teens pack but it told me "you may need to reinstall Pets and Seasons for this to work." I don't want to reinstall them. The other extra packs installed fine. Why won't these?

This happened to me too but with the family fun stuff pack. Except it said that i needed to reinstall the sims 2 and when i did it said i did not have "certain priveleges" to do it. When i finally got it to work it had gotten rid of everything and the game was all weird. I'm also trying to figure out why this happened.
