Anyone heard anything about Sims 3?

I heard that EA is planning on having Sims 3 out by early 2009. That probably means that they won't have a lot more Sims 2 expansion packs...I still want to see one with sports. Anyway, it's still a while away, so I guess we can't get too excited yet.

So, when we nearly finished our sims 2 collection, then we´ll have to AGAIN buy a sims game and all it´s expansions! It would be nicer if it would just be an expansion with all sims 3 features! Does anyone agree??
