had a problem with game playing properly.copied ea games folder to desktop.reinstalled sims 2 and uni.paste ea games folder back.now i have no neighbourhoods. i spent ages on sims i cant just restart evryting!

You should have uninstalled the game first.

Then moved the EA Games folder and all its subfolders to the desktop, thus shifting it out of My Documents.

Then reinstall everything.

Then purge the new EA Games folder that would have been put there and replace it with the one on your desktop.

Sounds like you just reinstalled on top of the existing 'hoods and it didn't like it.
