I've unlocked the pet cat but i really want the bulldog, do i have to unlock it separately or is it random which pet you get? if i have to unlock the dog separately, how do i unlock it?

doesn't matter i found out how to, if anyone's wondering you unlock each pet in each house (98th ave, blankwood and penthouse)
