I have recieved The Sims 2, and it is going terribly slow .. All the enjoyment is basically gone .. I have updated my memory, but I still have no clue how to get it going faster. I've deleted many files, but it's still not running at normal speed. help !!

Amouunt of memory is not the be all and end all of the matter.. What processor do you have (AMD? Pentium?) and what speed is it?

hmm .. i think i may have pentium 4 .. even when i download it onto another computer, i still have that direct 9.ox problem ..

I also have this problem, it takes a very long time for it to load and game play is jumpy!What will make it faster? i dont know how fast my laptop is but some of the other items run slow as well. Could this have anything to do with having broadband as I have heard this makes the computer slower?
