There is a few bits in the residential 'Buy Items' which I would like to use in the community lots but they appear unavailable. Is there any way I can play around with things to make this possible?

Honestly, I have no idea, but, I downlaoded this house from thesims2.com and it has clothes racks in it and cashiers upstairs in the attic!! Isn't that bizarre? I thought it kinda related to your question... so, yeah. So I can just buy clothes (it has game racks too) right inside my house! It really is wierd though...
