Elders share the same careers as teenagers. So to answer your question - I don't think so.

I have 2 sims which are elders now. I had to call work to let them retire. I hope that there is an option to continue their work. I don't know for sure, I have to try that when an other sims gets elder (takes 25 days now :()

Elders can only get the same crappy jobs that teens get, but if they already have a real job, they can keep it and continue to be promoted in it until they retire or get fired.
