The Sims 2 is both the same and different from the original Sims. The sims still have everyday needs such as hunger and hygeine, but now they have wants and fears that must be fulfilled in order for them to not...well...go insane! The graphics are a lot more detailed, and the social interactions are a bit more advanced. One thing I also noticed was that their personality traits come into play a lot more. For example, I have a sim that's really sloppy, and another that's really clean. The sloppy one shoves food into her mouth while it spills all over the floor, and the neat one basically makes sure his fork enters his mouth the right way. It's a great new experience from the original Sims, and it's a lot more life-like, they're not so much like robots anymore!
