Transmogrifier: Transmogrifier 2.0 coming soon
Written at 00:01 by ChEeTaH - 0 comments.
It's been quite some time since the last version of Transmogrifier, 1.4 was released. After a few years (literally), Dan Hopkins is finally close to releasing version 2.0, which will support all expansion packs for The Sims 1. It's not yet finished, but it will be released "soon". The exact new features (if any) aren't listed, except that many bugs have been fixed, it'll support Windows XP, and as said it will support all expansions. Many object makers have been waiting for this, and it should not be long until you can download the new version from the Transmogrifier website. Remember, it's not available yet, but you can get a magic cookie already. Meanwhile, the site has been updated quite a bit though, so it's worth checking out.

WorldSims: Sims 2 Screensaver
Written at 14:50 by ChEeTaH - 0 comments.
Our affiliate WorldSims has posted an interesting file yesterday: a screensaver. If you can't get enough of the Sims 2, even when you're not at your computer, then that screensaver is a great solution. After downloading and installing the 19 Mb (!) file, you will be able to select it as your screensaver in the Control Panel. Once you stop working for the selected period of time then, you'll see a ton of screenshots of The Sims 2 come by on your screen, with (if you want) some music in the background. You can set up several things as well, like the order of the screenshots, when the screensaver should disappear again, and how quickly the screenshots should change every time. It comes with an easy installation, so there's no need to go through a hassle of unzipping whatsoever. You can get the file from this page.

The Sims Discovery: TSZ won an award
Written at 15:38 by ChEeTaH - 0 comments.
The Sims Zone has won an award for Best Site of the year 2003. Thanks go out to all our fans, visitors, the team of TSZ, and The Sims Discovery. We received 33% of the votes, out of a total of 6 sites. I'm glad that we won this second award. We should receive a banner from The Sims Discovery soon, which of course we'll post here. Again, thanks to everybody who made this possible. Of course we'll do our best to maintain this position, but we cannot do it if you don't keep visiting us, and giving us your feedback.

The Sims Exchange: TSZ Nominated for award
Written at 22:33 by ChEeTaH - 0 comments.
We're glad to have received that news that The Sims Zone, together with 9 other sites, has been nominated at The Sims Exchange in the Best Downloads category. If you think we have the best downloads of these 10 sites, then make sure to give us a vote. There will be 3 awards given, the golden one for the winner, and numbers 2 and 3 will get a silver and bronze award (in that order). This could be our third award, after the one we won from The Sims Discovery and the SimEmmy we won last year. The competition is tough, but nevertheless we hope we'll win. Vote at The Sims Exchange.

WorldSims: Next Generation Song
Written at 22:57 by ChEeTaH - 0 comments.
After a Sims 2 screensaver a couple of days ago, affiliate WorldSims has again posted some Sims 2 media. This time it's the "New Generation" song from the second E3 2003 Trailer. WorldSims has enhanced the sound quality a bit to make it blast through your speakers even better, so you can either wake up that new generation really well, or drive mad the previous. The music comes in MP3 format, and you can download it from this page (2.78 Mb). If you're interested in watching the trailer that this music comes from, then click here for more information,
