Okay well I put my .mp3 files into the "techno" section (randomly picked) but they still don't work!! I tried just putting them just under Music (after sims 2, ea games, etc.) but they don't play!!!

The music genres only play when you pick that genre from the radio/stereo.

But I DID, and it still just played the reg. techno songs! :(

The music you add does not replace the default music. It only adds to the collection. If you do not want the default music at all delete the corresponding .package from your "The Sims 2\TSData\Res\Sound" folder
