Knowledge - Question
my dad recently installed xp sp2. ever since then my game has been crashing. is there a way to re-install it AND keep all my sims/houses etc? is there another way to fix it besides re-installing?

Copy C:\Documents and Settings\XXX\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Neighborhoods where XXX is your logon name to somewhere else.

Service Pack 2 may introduce some incompatibilities with certain combinations of hardware but update all drivers (graphics and chipset) as a first measure.

Copy that file above to your desktop until the sims has been re-installed. Then paste it back into its directory deleting the one thats just been re-installed
