John and Martha are doing very well with Erin but Alyssa and Steve are losing their original enthusiasm for the task. With them having to see if they can get their charges to walk today, how well will they do?

It's Day 42. It's Sim Brother 4.

7.45am - Everyone is in the bathroom area. For the first time in ages, it is quite busy. Steve is in the shower and Martha is in the second toilet stall (SB - ... although I'm sure you didn't need to know that last part)

Alyssa - How are things going with you with Erin, John?
John - It's hard to tell if we'll ever toilet train her, though. We think she's getting there but we're just not sure. How is your potty training going with Emily?
Alyssa - Not so good. We managed to catch her in time today, but missed out yesterday morning and evening. I don't know if we'll get her trained in time for her being taken back.
John - Making them happy is what Martha and I are focussing on - ERIN! You are NOT going to play in the shower. No!

Emily and Erin have in fact been doing well. Erin is almost fully toilet trained and Emily is about halfway there. Although the housemates have not been training them to walk or talk yet, they have been keeping both of them happy by playing with them and reading to them.

Midday - The housemates are scattered around the compound.

Sim Brother (P) - Hi, y'all. Just so you guys know what's going on, here's a newsflash for you. You thought the girls were going back today? Well, we've been given an extension. They're going back tomorrow instead. Also, at 5pm tonight, you're going to put your skills to the test and see if you can get the girls walking at last. Until then, get some rest and make sure they are all ok.

Just as a diversion, we are taking a look at the chalet in order to further promote the work of one of our designers. The bed, bedside tables and the rug (seen on the picture of Emily) are new objects created from scratch. The loveseat recolour were is also one of Sumit's creations. All of his work for TS2 and TS1 can be looked at here.

The yellow bedspread is from SB and will be released with as part of the Series 4 download set after the final show.

5.00pm - The housemates are gathered in the forum to see how well their charges do in learning to walk. John has opted to teach Erin and Steve has opted to teach Emily.

7.07pm - Hours of faltering steps later and distraction is setting in, but it is Erin who finally succeeds in learning to walk. Steve nevertheless continues and Emily is fully capable of walking shortly after.

And that is where we are going to have to leave them. Tomorrow, can the housemates finish potty training or get them to talk? Their success depends upon it.
