The Sims 3 Indepth - Sunset Families

Meet the Families!

In the second part of The Sims 3 Indepth, we are staying in Sunset Valley and as well as these two children, we will be meeting all 25 families who already live there, finding out who they are, their histories and their plans for their lifetime in Sunset Valley.

We will also be taking our first look at how the town can be customised to a player's preferences and giving our critical opinions.

Again, a very well written article Andy.

As you play the game, there are many sims you bump into around town. Knowing the background and stories for each of these sims really enhance gameplay. In turn, it gives the story about this town, it's buildings, and even the names of places you visit much more meaning.

Looking forward to more reviewing about Sims 3!

Until then, happy simming!

Comments like this encourage me and every other member of our staff to do more.

While I am here, is there anything TS3 players or potential players would like me to look at in more detail?

Congratulations, Andy... once again. I really am running out of words to thank you for your great work.
I just thought of something I'd like to see addressed by future EA patches... I'm not sure this would fit in your review - probably not. But I know these things are annoying other players, too, and I'd like to know if you have noticed them. So, here goes: I love the Sims 3, but I have these 2 pet peeves with it:
1. My Sims, regardless of which personality traits I give them or level of culinary skill they've reached, always choke/cough while eating - and I mean always. It's annoying the **** out of me...
2. Sims with the Good Sense of Humour trait have this stupid laugh when they are in a good mood... wherever they are, no matter what they're doing! It drives me crazy. Sorry about that :)

Anyway, if anyone else knows of other silly AI effects the Sims 3 programmers may have embedded in the game - I think it would make an interesting article... but maybe that's just me ;)

Once again, thank you for everything, Andy... and keep it coming!

TS3 is such a big game, even I haven't seen everything so everything you point out is appreciated.

Your point about "silly AI effects" is an interesting one and I might include it in one of the later parts of this review. I have noticed a few myself.

Once again, Carla, thanks again for your comments ... and keep them coming too :)
