Nightlife US Release Date and Rating
Maxis has confirmed the US release date for the Sims 2 Nightlife, the second expansion pack for the Sims 2. A newspost on the official site mentions September 15th as the release date for the game in the US. It will arrive in Europe around the same time, depending on which country you live in it might be a day earlier or later. Also, the ESRB has revealed the rating for the expansion pack. As with all other Sims games, it'll be rated T for Teen (13+). Besides that there are descriptors of Crude Humor, Sexual Themes and Violence. More information can be found after a search. Thanks for XPDude for the link to the ESRB search. You can pre-order the expansion pack and its strategy guide by Prima from our TSZ shop. By doing so you'll also support The Sims Zone.

I think that the night life sounds cool but the only 2 things missing in all sims games is that you cant drive or buy a car and if you did it would be sooooo cool if you could drive to work at any time of the day and the other thing is that you should be able to go to your sims work and watch them do their job

PLEASE NOTE THE THINGS I HAVE SAID AND MAYBE YOU COULD DO THAT TO A SIMS GAME IN THE FUTURE

Thanks

Well you can have cars and you can buy them in the nightlife expansion pack! Or did you just mean drive the car with your arrow keys your self? (you can't do that, you can only buy them from buy mode, make a garage and driveway, and pick the colors of your car and the owner. They can do many things in the car like woohoo and listen to music) Well i don't think that they would let you follow your sims to work because if you have a family of 2 and they both go to work at the same time, then you can't follow just one, i think. It is a great idea!

The nightlife does sound cool, but you have bouncers on the club doors, Tree Houses, Ladders that your kids boyfriend could use to climb up into her window.
The ability to build a Hobbit style house..with grass over the roof, etc.
Kids could leave toys laying around..and a sleepy parent Sim could trip over them.
More meal options
Hosting Option for parties and gathering at home (Dinner Party, Formal Party). Maybe they can bring back the costume chest so you can get your guest to dress according to the occasion.
More Child - Parent/Adult interactions
Board Games for Group Activity, playable by Child+
More Dancing Styles, slow dance for R&B maybe.
Fireplace Interactions (like the bear rug)
Picnic blankets (w/ interactions)
Tri-cycles and/or Bikes for Children
A Visible Game element that shows a family connection to relatives in the game.
For Example: if I was off on the town and saw my cousin either her or I would approach each other and speak or at least acknowledge we see each other.
Babies, Toddlers, Children can sleep in between their parents or with their parents. (I know children can sleep with one parent, but I guess yall get where I'm going with this.)
Sleepovers for the kids and teens.
Also new objects I was thinking about:- playpens for toddlers
- a walker for infants or toddlers (whichever is appropriate, helps them learn to walk)
- a baby swing (the kind you wind up and put the kid in that usually swings them to sleep)
- more toys
- jumping ropes (playable by child+)
- hop scotch (playable by child+)
- more stations for the TV
- a DVD player (comes with one movie, you can buy more @ community lots)
- webcams for PCs (i know that might be hard to add but it'd be cute)
- a washer and dryer (there has to be a way to work it into the game, maybe every 3 sim days the laundry would need to be done *shrugs*)

Cleaning / Maintenance Interaction:
- mop/sweep hard surfaces
- vaccuum carpet
- water the lawn
- mow the lawn (hygiene points take a hit, fun or tedious varies on persona)

Other Interactions:
- tuck in kids
- read bedtime stories to infants/toddlers/children
- mothers can bathe with their child/toddler/infant (only the biological parent)
- shower woohoo and bathe together or show together for adult couples
- pool interactions "Marco Polo" or sumn, play in pool options, swim laps, sumn lol
- able to swim in lakes and ponds and fish in them
- MAILBOX, send hand written letters to friends and get mail in return, even junk mail, the mailbox is so boring, all they get is bills. Maybe they'll get stuff from friends and family, chain letters that bear a percentage of the negative consequenc happening if they don't do what its says, random gifts and prizes

MISC:
- you can save leftovers for 2 sim days
- clean refridgerator (throw away left-overs or sumn)
- more delivery options
- more outdoor playground objects
- babysitter for hire (NPC teen available during none school hours to late night PERFECT FOR NIGHTLIFE parents on the go)
Kids have nightmares and run to their mum/dad.
bingo hall for the old folks
Time travel - wouldn't it be cool to be in another era, and to meet your ancestors? (and gain skills from them)
- Weather
- Go for a walk in the neighborhood option - I get tired of waiting for just the right neighbor to stop by...
- Some "meet the family" option for sims who become friends and their families
- Apologize/confess/grovel/beg for mercy option...they need some way to face the music in those screwed up relationships, and a good apology should go a long way
- Store leftovers/only serve food for the # of people on the lot
- Blind dating/Dating service stuff
- Go to work with sim, and have stuff to do there, and things like bring work home...
- Online shopping for cell phones, pc games, music, gifts, clothes, decor, you name it...
- Reduce JUST the sound of the phone sound effects, and do something about its incessant ringing (turn off ringer option? screen calls? get and answering machine??)
- More cool jobs [ditch digger to paleontologist, entrepreneur (startups can go so many ways...), moonlighting jobs...]
- Better skill-gaining stuff: musical instruments for kids that drive grown-ups nuts, playground equipment,
- Ask for promotion at work, go on business trip (and meet new people, gain skills, etc)
- I hate it when visitors walk away from the front door so you have to chase them to greet them. Fix that??
- Assign people to beds in the way that kids get doors in college
- How about inviting that carpool buddy in once in a while, or bringing lattes or bagels to work?
- The return of gifts and more ways to speed up the friend-making side of life
- Animals. My kids play/watch me play, and they ask for animals every time...
- Telecommute option for existing jobs, more ways to earn from home
- A bodyshop-like tool for objects (SimPE and me just don't get along, or something...)
- Quit laying babies on the floor!!!!!!!! ARGH
- A reasonable selection of clothes in closets/dressers we buy, so we don't have to go to town for it (shop online, too)
- I don't care about cars, but you don't care that I don't care. If it speeds up the leaving the house stuff and makes work and school a bit more flexible, I'm all for it. For that matter, can't kids ride bikes to school, or even walk?
- I really like someone's idea of needing influence to get into clubs - that's a good one!
- A music tool - handy way to import our own songs and create playlists, even.
- Special challenges for kids, like spelling bee, that they have to study for or otherwise prep
- Have a garage sale (get a little cash, tick off a couple neighbors, etc.)
- I'd like to see an EP that lets Sims go camping and hiking, but not like the lame camping in Vacation. They should have to go fishing for food, pick berries, cook on a campfire, roast marshmallows, get scared, bring/sterilize water, etc. They could buy anything from sleeping bags to tents to pop-ups to RVs.
- Visit the big city option - go to Broadway shows, shop expensive areas, get mugged, etc.
- Move to another home or neighborhood without losing all their stuff. Call moving van, everything goes in, and off you go...
Many more interactions between child and every other age group - the "teach to dance" option could exist for children too, piggybacks (for in town when the young ones get sore legs and can't walk anymore), holding hands (with parents, teens, elders) for walking in town, etc.
- More games! Especially more group games - playing house, or dress up (give them a costume box), skipping ropes, telling ghost stories (which could lead to nightmares - read on), food fights, slumber parties for kids - with sleeping bags!Special kids meals at restaurants
- Play areas at fast food places for the kids and toddlers
Hotels.
I know that is a long post can anyone tell me if any of these items are in the upcoming ep, if so which ones. Any that arent should be in the next one.
Reply Quickly Please

In Nighlife if a parent has a child and go out downtown, will you have to hire a babysitter?
