Knowledge - Question
I have XP and have the sims 1 installed, when I try to install the expansion packs it tells me that the original sims cannot be found on my system and to re-install, however it is there and it plays. All original discs. Help!

It happened to me too. Mmm.. you could unistall the original Sims and reinstall it, but if you do it you will loose all your families. Then after reinstalling try to install the expansion pack. Also make sure that when try to install the expansion packs, if it happens again, you search yourself for the Sims. And if still you get problems, now I don't know

Got it sorted! Because of the Sims 1 and XP issues the install was not proper (not showing in the software lists on my computer etc) so I downloaded the .nt patch and that sorted it all. Now I can install the original and the expansion packs properly.
