Can swimming pools get dirty? Will you have to clean them yourselves?

I've just heard that swimming pools can get contaminated. You will have to drain the whole pool and clean it.

I don't think that swimming pools get dirty. Go on TheSims2.com and find the chat transcripts to find out. I'm not COMPLETELY sure but I have heard no where that swimming pool can get contaminated.
