Knowledge - Question

Say I got the sims superstar or unleashed Would i have to install other expansions before that or can I install them anyway?

Just install them.

You'll find extra buttons on top of the neighbourhood screen that are unavailable. The other EPs will enable them when installed as and when and if you decide to buy them.
