How do i go about getting santa to come to my house?

Put a christmas tree in, some cookies, light a fire (with a fireplace), everybody to bed by 9pm (IIRC).

If the fire is lit and the cookies are fresh, Santa will appear after 9pm.

Also turn off Servo if you're using him. For reasons that are never really explained, Servo insists on getting rid of the cookies regardless of their freshness state.

You'll know if Santa arrives, you'll have pressies the next morning. If the cookies aren't fresh, you'll have broken presents.
