Um, I trust you are taking the files out of the ZIP files?

But anyway, yes, its possible that various items conflict and some may hang the game if you're using one that needs an EP you don't have.

Just because you can have up to 65k items doesn't mean you're able to have that many and suffer with no problems.

Ah, I see. Thanks. Um...I only use the zips that are for the EP's I have. And yes, I unzip them...hehe. I use Add-On Handler. What can I do about the game and my computer crashing?

You'll have to ship some out to see which item(s) are causing the crash.

Kinda vague. I am getting rather fed up with my puter and the sims games...I have nothin but probs with this puter since i first bought it, which wasn't even two years ago. And I have had nothing but problems with all the sims games as well. I give up. I can't play my sims2 cause I dont have a good enough graphics driver, enough ram, blah blah blah and now I can't even play the old ones.

What I meant was that your problems are probably caused by having too many downloads that are conflicting with each other, plus the fact that the game isn't totally bug free anyway and is quite capable of just falling over on its own anyway.

What you should do is move all your downloads to somewhere outside of the Downloads folder then play the game for an extended period (bearing in mind that it will complain about missing objects) and see if it continues to crash with the default objects. Also note that some downloads live in the Globals folder as well.

Then if it doesn't crash anymore, its obviously a download that's causing it to crash. So you can now start adding downloads back into the game and see if it still crashes. If it does, the problem object is the last you added back or in the last batch of objects you added back.

This is why you should really add groups of downloads in small batches as opposed to all in one go.
