Can mothers get divorced and then marry or go out with their sons or daughters?(that are adults)

no they can't
in the sims 2 the sims are more aware of things, they can tell the difference between family and friends, the closest to family that they can marry or even will have a crush on, is cousins, sorry to disopoint you! but another great way to stir things up would be cheating on them... thats always fun! (of course not in real life!)
